The Lebanese will be able to access the Internet beginning Friday, according to a statement issued the same day by state telecoms body Ogero. Ogero’s technical teams were able to make functional three reserve cables which will eventually ensure 6 Gigabytes of Internet capacity, the statement said. It added that Ogero’s teams are working with their counterparts in Egypt until the IMEWE (India-Middle East-Western Europe) submarine cable is fully repaired.
