Paris prosecutors opened Thursday a primary investigation after two non-governmental human rights organizations filed complaints against a French firm accused of providing Syria with electronic surveillance equipment, a judicial source announced. The International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) and the Human Rights League (LDH) jointly filed the case against French firm Qosmos stating that the equipment have been used in torture as well. Qosmos have asserted that no blame whatsoever can be placed on them.
