Staff tried to calm the woman down as she began to panic

Every woman who has been to a jewelry shop will have tried on at least some of the items on sale. But for one Chinese woman this temptation might have landed her in series debt.
As she tried on a jade bracelet, she was told it cost nearly $30,000. Shocked by the price, she tried in haste to remove it from her wrist, but it fell and snapped in two.
Staff tried to calm her down as she began to panic, but she started sweating and fainted, local press reported.
The incident happened in the southern city of Ruili in Yunnan province near the border with Burma.
When she came round, the shop staff offered the woman a reduced price of $25,000 to settle the bill, but she explained she could only afford $1,500.
The police were unable to get the two parties to agree on a price, so the matter is to be settled in court, the BBC has reported.
