Zaqziq University sacked on Sunday ousted president Mohamed Morsi from his position as Engineering Faculty professor after he was convicted by court in two separate cases.
The decision was taken after a three-man committee formed by the university president studied Morsi's legal status and his right to assume the university position.
Morsi was sentenced to death by the criminal case in the 2011 mass jail break case. He also received a 20-year sentence over charges of ordering the arrest and torture of protesters in clashes outside the presidential palace in December 2012.
