A number of students belonging to the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood staged a protest at Mansoura University on Sunday after the end of exams.
The protest set off from the Faculty of Science then the protesters marched through other faculties.
They chanted slogans against the preliminary results of the presidential polls.
Security forces fired tear gas canisters to disperse the protesters who answered back by throwing Molotov cocktail bottles.
Masked men set fire to a police vehicle outside the university but no casualties were reported.
