The World Islamic Sciences and Education University on Tuesday suspended classes after a sharp verbal exchange between a student and a security guard degenerated into an open brawl on the campus. A statement issued by the university said a group of students and their relatives from outside the university were involved in the incident. It said a committee was assigned to probe the latest in a series of on-campus incidents of violence in the Kingdom's various universities, identify those behind it in order to take legal action against them, including possible dismissal and referral to judicial authorities.
