Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Dr. Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri has lauded HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani\'s support for the organization efforts in spreading the Islamic culture and Arabic language. Speaking to Qatari daily (al-Sharq), Dr. Altwaijri underlined that the State of Qatar is a founding member of the ISESCO that fulfills its obligations to the organization on a regular basis, and actively participates in the implementation of action plans adopted by the ISESCO General Conference every three years. The ISESCO Director General highlighted Qatar\'s continuous support for the programs and activities carried out by the organization, including the program, which bears the name of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, for teaching the Arabic language and Islamic culture. Dr. Altwaijri pointed out that there is significant cooperation between the ISESCO and the Qatar Foundation, chaired by HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser. Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, chaired by HE the Minister of Education and High Education Saad bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, is the communication point between the ISESCO and the Qatari government, he added, noting the fruitful cooperation between the organization and Qatar National Commission in all fields. The ISESCO Director General highlighted Qatar\'s political and diplomatic role which serve the objectives of Arab and Islamic joint work, both in the framework of the Arab League, and on the level of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
