Abu Dhabi - MENA
Friday's blasts in the Egyptian capital made headlines in newspapers out in the UAE Saturday. One newspaper, "Al Etihad" said that the cowardly terrorist attacks in Cairo yesterday ring alarm bells about threats of extremist thinking to societies. It called for an effective move and practical steps to face such attacks, stressing statements alone cannot be the answer. The "Al Khaleej" newspaper accused the Muslim Brotherhood of treachery, noting that it was not strange of them to commit such crimes. They have been practicing violence ever since people took to the streets on June 30 to topple the MB regime, the paper charged. They have been acting in the dark for over 80 years and are now doing it again, the paper said. Their dark thoughts have always led to bloody actions and conspiracies, it added. Al-Bayan newspaper said that those who think they can set the clock back in Egypt are mistaken. They are even more mistaken if they think that terrorist blasts can bring about any benefits.
