Russian President Vladimir Putin strongly condemned the terrorist attack against the office of Charlie Hebdo Magazine in Paris on Wednesday. In a cable of condolences to his French counterpart Francois Hollande, the Russian leader expressed desire to continue cooperation in the combat against terrorism.
He expressed deepest sympathy with, and condolences for, the bereaved families, and wished quick recovery for those wounded, according to a readout of the cable issued by the Kremlin.
Unknown gunmen opened fire at the magazine's office this midday, killing at least 12 people and wounding eight others.
