Cairo - MENA
Egypt's presidency mourned on Friday the death of renowned columnist Ahmed Ragab.
The satirical writer, whose daily satirical short column "Nos Kelma" has always brought a smile to the faces of Al Akhbar newspaper's readers, passed away early in the day at the age of 86 after a long struggle with illness.
"Ragab will remain a symbol for the national press and his merits at both the personal and professional levels will never be forgotten," the presidency said in a statement.
He will be buried later today.
