The external media officials at the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held their 28th meeting in Kuwait Wednesday.
"The GCC meetings focus on promoting Arab Gulf shared message to the world," Assistant Undersecretary for External Media at Kuwait's Ministry of Information and Chairman of the Meeting Tareq Al-Mezram told KUNA following the meeting.
"Today's meeting reviewed the preparations and agenda of the Gulf Week in Japan." He noted that the conferees touched upon effective communication with international media, educational institutions and research centers to acquaint the world with major progress and achievements of the GCC states.
For his part, Head of Information and Public Relations Department at the GCC General Secretariat Ahmad Al-Dubayan said that the meeting addressed several key issues relative to external media activities.
He stated the conferees highlighted the role of activities organized abroad in promoting the GCC and strengthening people-to-people relations.
