Cairo - MENA
A top-ranking security source said on Wednesday that Aljazeera reporter Abdullah el-Shamy, who is held in custody in Tora Prison, has received two visits.
The source told MENA that his mother, brother and wife visited him. Also a team of a fact-finding committee and forensic medicine visited him to check his health after reports that his condition is deteriorating.
The fact-finding committee was formed in line with directives by the president of the republic to make sure that inmates are receiving proper treatment in line with the law, added the source.
