Meeings of Arab media men team headed by Director General of Sudanese Broadcasting Corporation Al-Samawal Khalaf Allah al-Quraish kicked off at the headquarters of the Arab League's General Secretariat.
The meetings are meant to follow up the implementation of Arab media strategy approved by Arab information ministers in a previous period.
Delivering a speech at the beginning of the meetings, the Arab League's Head of Media and Communication Sector Haifa Abu Ghazaleh said that the Arab media strategic plan includes applicable proposals serving the joint Arab media work.
The AL General Secretariat is working on launching a Radio and TV station on the Internet to serve the joint Arab issues, she added.
For his part, Director of the Technical Department at the Council of Arab Ministers of Information Yasser Abdel-Moneim said that the two-day meeting would also assess the Arab media coverage during the recent Arab revolutions.
Activating the Arab Media Charter of Honour and the Arab Media Strategy would be on the table of the meeting, he asserted.
