The powerful high-end sound systems from Mercedes-Benz have always been characterised by extremely well-balanced sound, made possible thanks to numerous loudspeakers all finely tuned to each other and located in different positions in the interior. The Frontbass system, celebrating its premiere in the new SL, is a world\'s first which goes a step further with a unique feature: for the first time the bass loudspeakers are now integrated into the bulkhead of the aluminium vehicle structure. As a result, intelligent use is made of the cavity available in front of the footwell as an additional resonance chamber. This saves on weight and enlarges the interior of the vehicle considerably, since the speakers no longer take up space in the doors or in the luggage compartment floor. You can see, but also primarily hear, the benefits. Thanks to raised midrange speakers, Frontbass enables a top-class sound experience offering a higher degree of efficiency and intense, concert hall-like bass, even when driving with the top down. Fuel consumption (combined): 9.2 - 6.8 l/100 km; CO2 emissions (combined): 214 - 159 g/km The data do not relate to a specific vehicle and are not part of the specification, but are merely for the purpose of comparing different vehicle types. The figures are provided in accordance with the German regulation \"PKW-EnVKV\" and apply to the German market only.
