Movano is on its way: Opel’s multi-functional load carrier is now available to order with all-new, powerful yet exceptionally economical engines. For an entry-level price of just 24,390 euros excl. VAT in Germany (29,024 euros incl. VAT, RRP in Germany) the panel van variant L1H1 comes with a new 81 kW/110 hp 2.3-liter turbo diesel engine and a six-speed manual transmission.
The Movano now features state-of-the-art turbo diesel technology which significantly reduces fuel consumption and emissions values – and therefore operating costs. The new Movano engine portfolio now comprises a choice of five turbo diesels, including the 2.3-liter turbo diesel, with 81 kW/110 hp and 92 kW/125 hp, and the all-new 2.3-liter BiTurbo with 100 kW/136 hp and 120 kW/163 hp. The top-of-the-line engine provides maximum torque of 360 Nm and, with Start/Stop as standard, it also enables a huge 39 g/km reduction in CO2 emissions. This equates to a 1.5 l/100 km reduction in fuel consumption, an 18 percent improvement compared to the previous top engine – all despite a 13 hp hike in power output. The 2.3 CDTI with 110 kW/150 hp remains in the line-up and rounds off the Movano engine range.
The enhanced Movano also delivers further benefits in terms of safety. It comes with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) as standard – enabling a range of driving aids such as Hill Start Assist and the Trailer Stability Program. A blind spot covering mirror in the passenger sun visor also improves all-round visibility. These are all technologies and equipment features which support the driver and make traveling in the Movano even safer and more enjoyable.
