Gaza's sole power plant

Gaza's sole power plant was shut down Thursday as Qatar's funding for fuel in the coastal territory has run out.
In a statement, the Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority blamed the high taxes, which reach up to 137%, for the closure decision.
Gaza’s power station, which was damaged during the Israeli raids on the coastal enclave last year, was only able to supply the coastal enclave with 20% of power, added the authority.
