Butane gas crisis

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on Sunday said the government would not tolerate with the current butane gas cylinders crisis in the Egyptian market.
The PM said all decisive measures will be taken to eliminate the cylinders mafia who trade them on the black market.
Mahlab chaired a meeting that included Planning Minister Ashraf El Araby, Petroleum Minister Sherif Ismail, Supply Minister Khaled Hanafi and Interior Minister Magdi Abdel Ghaffar, as well as concerned officials to study ways to solve the problem.
The PM said stressed the government's determination to confront the crisis.
He tasked concerned officials to launch surprise campaigns on distribution outlets and apply the law on black market leaders.
For his part, the petroleum minister said that more butane gas cylinders were pumped into the market during the period of March 1-7.
