One of the sponsors of the annual Al Noor Family Fun Fair, staff from the Coral Beach Resort – Sharjah headed last week to Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs in Dubai with delicious dishes that were sold in support of the fund-raiser. Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs caters to nearly 300 children of more than 30 nationalities proving support, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, sport and music opportunities, and is one of a number of chosen charities for the Sharjah resort as part of its contribution to the community. The Family Fun Day attracted more than 5,000 visitors offering not only a variety of food stalls but also a host of popular entertainment activities from face painting to bouncy castles, rides, raffles, quizzes and more. According to Jean-Pierre Simon, Regional General Manager, Northern Emirates, Coral Hotels & Resorts, the AED 5,000 contribution in food sales was a small donation, but one that reflected the commitment of both the hotel management and staff to stay involved with local activities. “The Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs does a tremendous job in looking after children with special needs, without any official financial support, relying totally on funds donated and events such as the Family Fun Fair to raise money – and, at the Coral Beach Resort – Sharjah, we are delighted to be able to contribute.” The Coral Beach Resort – Sharjah features 156 spacious rooms, many with panoramic sea-view. A major attraction is the wide repertoire of dining options with menus to cater to every taste. The resort is located on one of the emirate’s principal sand beaches and features a range of leisure activities for all ages, including the Rimal Club, state-of-the-art fitness centre, children’s pool, indoor playroom and complimentary Kid’s Club as well as tennis, badminton, volleyball and two outdoor swimming pools.
