Bordeaux - Arab Today
From December 9, the popular wine tourism destination will boast a new luxury hotel and restaurant overseen by French wine magnate Bernard Magrez and Michelin-starred chef Joël Robuchon.
La Grande Maison, a new property in Bordeaux with just six guest rooms, is intended as a tribute to art in all its forms, and namely to the arts of gastronomy, oenology and interior design.
In the rooms, guests will find a warm and inviting atmosphere and an updated take on Napoleon III style. Soft, luxurious materials complement high-end furniture and lighting fixtures to create a refined and elegant décor.
It is only fitting that Bernard Magrez, a leading name in the world of fine wines, invited an equally renowned cuisine expert, Joël Robuchon, to helm the restaurant at his new luxury hotel. In two dining rooms with 45 place settings, guests will savor the chef's signature dishes and regional specialties such as entrecôte (rib steak) grilled over Médoc grape vine wood.
The wine list will include no less than 259 Grands Crus Classés de Bordeaux and related wines (Pomerol and Bourgeois), including the four Grands Crus Classés owned by Magrez (Château Pape Clément, Château La Tour Carnet, Château Fombrauge and Clos Haut-Peyraguey).
Rooms are priced from €295 (around $370) per night.
