Hotels and tourist resorts in Hurghada have witnessed notable increase in the percentage of occupancy during the holiday of Eid al-Fitr, whilst hotels prepare to receive Egyptian, Arab and foreign guests. General Hatem Mounir, Director General of the Chamber of Hotel Facilities, said that the occupancy of the hotels reached to 85 percent during Eid al-Fitr. He added that domestic tourism pushed forward the percentage of the hotels occupancy, stressing that Egyptians turned to spend their religious holiday in the villages and tourist resorts in the Red Sea.
