Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa by Anantara in Abu Dhabi has made its entry into the top luxury suites in the UAE with the launch of the Royal Mangroves Residence, the largest residence suite in the capital. The Royal Mangroves, which is basically marketed towards dignitaries, celebrities and VIPs, is a duplex living space that is 2,455 square metres large, and which could have up to ten king sized en-suite bedrooms. The top two-floor suite has great views of the mangroves and the city, offering what the hotel manager says is the most luxurious stay at the hotel. The suite comes equipped with its own rooftop terrace garden, a private infinity pool with a swim-up pool bar and a BBQ area. The residence has its own private entrance and dedicated lift for privacy, a separate living area, study, kitchenette, a common lounge area, and a walk-in closet. Guests of the Royal Mangroves Residence also have exclusive access to the executive lounge, Kasara, a limousine service with WiFi, private chef, mixologist, 24/7 butler and a massage and beauty therapist during their stay. The opening rate is starting from Dh55,000 per night, depending on the day when the stay is booked. Nehme Darwiche, Hotel Manager of Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa by Anantara, told Gulf News that the suite had been booked a few times in the past by high-level officials, but that the opening makes it officially open for the public. When asked how the hotel plans to keep the Residence busy especially with such a rate per night, Darwiche said that they believe it will attract celebrities and dignitaries. “The big events are a big help. I think what the TCA [Tourism and Culture Authority] with their calendar have been very successful and are helping the industry very well,” he said, adding that the exclusivity of the place will make it able to stand on its own and market itself regardless of what events are going on in the city. “The inauguration of this suite was intentionally planned to be a separate launch from the recent hotel opening, bringing our inventory to 222-rooms. We wanted the news to stand out for such an exclusive product, which is the jewel to Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa crown and also a very new addition to the opulent hospitality market in the Middle East,” he said.
