This evening, Chicago welcomed 2016 with an inaugural New Year’s Eve celebration, Chi-Town Rising, a new tradition to celebrate the spirit of Chicago in ringing in the New Year. The event featured a lineup of celebrity and musical guests, including 2014 Billboard Top New Artist American Authors and Rock-n-Roll Hall Of Fame inductees Chicago® along with celebrity host Mario Lopez, an iconic countdown featuring a 70’6” Chicago Star rising 360 feet into the night sky, and an unprecedented fireworks display for Chicago at Midnight.
