Paris - Al Maghrib Today
An estimated 223,000 people turned out for demonstrations across France on Tuesday to protest the labour reforms planned by President Emmanuel Macron, and 13 arrests were made, the interior ministry said.
France's biggest trade union, the CGT, gave its own estimate of 400,000 protesters against the labour overhauls, in the first main challenge to one of Macron's signature campaign pledges.
