Germany warns Vietnam over 'asylum seeker kidnapping'

seven asylum seekers filed an appeal after their protection claims were rejected

Germany on Wednesday accused Vietnam's secret service and embassy of kidnapping an asylum seeker on German soil, as Berlin expelled a Vietnamese spy.

"The kidnapping of Vietnamese national Trinh Xuan Thanh on German soil is an unprecedented and scandalous violation of German and international law," said foreign ministry spokesman Martin Schaefer.
