Beirut – Nicola Azaar
Myriam Fares has a lot going for her. In the next couple of days, the star will be travelling to Dubai to sing at a private wedding ceremony, then preparing to launch some innovative technology upon her return to Beirut. The ‘Myriam Fares application’ for iPhone users will enable her fans to watch all her live recordings in real time, as oppose to the usual post Youtube viewing. The company helping Myriam launch the application is Mobile Roadie; they previously launched applications for global talents Madonna and Rihanna. Myriam is currently recording her Gulf album titled “From my eyes”, which is due for release the week before Eid. The album was produced by Myriam herself with her own funding, and distributed by world music label EMI. Video clips from the album will be seen exclusively on Rotana TV and world-famous website VEVOO. As for the public problems she has been experiencing with Melody TV, the artist said that nothing has changed and her previous statement that her work won’t be shown on the channel (Melody) still applies. Not only does she sing, but with her beautiful curves, Myriam has landed parts in Dior, Zuhair Murad and Stephane Rolland fashion shows at the Paris Fashion Week. In addition, she attended the 1-year Birthday of the Christian Louboutin shop in Beirut, by invitation from Louboutin himself. And since Myriam is one of his most important clients in the region, the designer has decided to create a one-of-a-kind shoe collection just for Myriam. Myriam will be appearing on LBC TV this Ramadan in “Fawazeer Ramadan” where she will play three different characters called Mimi, Mima and Mira through different musical and acting acts. Each episode consists of three parts and the audience is required to find a solution to each riddle whether it is about a certain type of dance or Arab profession. Fawazeer Ramadan was broadcast on TV channel Cairo and People last Ramadan.
