Sudanese Musician Mohamed Osman Wardi passed away, after leaving an unforgettable influence on the world of art with his songs, tunes, and his very well selected words of great poets. Wardi was bon in 1932 in Sawadra, far north of Sudan. He transferred to Omdorman to present Nubian singing in the Sudanese Radio in 1957. He was known as one of the masters of the Nubian language with wide knowledge of its vocabulary and proverbs. He was marked by his sensitivity and accuracy of expression, he usually commented on such talent by saying it is something his hometown Sawadra is famous for. Upon this unfortunate event, the Sudanese radio stopped its normal transmission and broadcasted recitation from the Holy Quran. The state Presidency also mourned him and listed his exploits and extensive participation in all the national events and made condolences to the Sudanese people as well as his family. It is note worthy that the late artist was taken to hospital a few days ago to receive treatment as he was suffering kidney diseases. He underwent a kidney transplant operations in Qatar a few years ago, after which he returned in a good health and could normally practice his work, until he finally passed away.
