Egyptian actress Laila Elwy expressed her keenness to attend the Egyptian festivals in Egypt, saying that such events leave positive repercussions on the future of the country. She stressed that the cinema, drama or singing festivals play a major role to bridge a gap of difference between the peoples and promote tourism in Egypt.
She added, in a statement to “Al Maghrib Today”, that she received offers to participate in a film entitled “Photocopy” and other TV drama show, while she refused both of them.
She added that she is not frustrated for not participating in these works, saying that it will provide her with the opportunity to follow the dramatic works scheduled to be presented during the coming Ramadan. She added that she will seize the opportunity to read new scenarios offered to her to take the decision whether to participate in them or not.
The Egyptian singer also denied what was published over turning to singing, saying that she sang during a charity party, while it was just a humanitarian work. She added that she does not think to take such a step at all.
