Egyptian actress Fardoos Abdel-Hameid revealed that she was a close friend for Egyptian writer Mahfouz Abdel-Rahman, expressing his frustration for his death. She added that he was literature and intellectual, saying that his works will remain.

She praised her participation in “Nasser 56” film in which she performed the role of former President Abdel-Nasser’s wife, saying that it was one of the most important of her roles in her career as an actress. She described the role as a turning point in her career.

She added that the Egyptian writer provided her with information about the wife of former president, saying that he met with her during a large number of occasions
