Actress Afaf Shoaib was taken to the ICU at Salam International Hospital in Almaadion Tuesday morning, after an accidental painkiller overdose. She was taking the drugs after suffering a slipped disc while filming for her new TV drama “Adam”. The actress had hoped be able to complete filming the remaining scenes of Adam, which will be broadcast this Ramadan. Although no health status updates have been released, insider hospital sources have confirmed that Shoaib’s life is out of danger, and that she is receiving constant care. “Adam” was written by Ahmed Mahmoud Abu Zaid, directed by Muhammad Sami and stars Afaf Shoaib alongside Tamer Hosny, Mai Ezzeddine, Deena Foad and Majid Almasri.
