UN Special Envoy for Syria Steffan de Mistura said the current humanitarian truce in eastern Aleppo is an initiative by Russia and the Syrian government.
The Aleppo ceasefire is unilateral for it is different from "De Mistura's plan for eastern Aleppo," added de Mistura during a press conference in Geneva on Thursday.
The UN envoy said his plan, which has not started yet, calls for ending shelling, fighting and all acts of aggression by all parties.
The plan also calls Al Nusra front fighters to leave eastern Aleppo along with other militants, he said.
In addition, the plan said the Syrian government has to present guarantees for the continuation of the local administration of eastern Aleppo as it is, according to de Mistura.
