Syrian regime forces have killed 23 civilians and injured more than 70 others, mostly children and women, in air bombardment in Douma, eastern Ghouta, on Monday, Syria Mubasher news reported.
It quoted witnesses from Douma as saying fighter jets unleashed two rockets killing five civilians and injured 70 others, and when civilians rushed to rescue the victims, the regime's artillery shelled them killing 18 people.
The bombing also targeted medical facilities in Douma forcing them to close.
Meanwhile, opposition the Islamic Front said it killed and injured scores of government forces in Dubr Al-Zaghab area, located between city of Idlib and Fougha town.
Sham news network said opposition gunmen killed 15 government troops in Deir Zughaib area.
