The Syrian army launched intensive strikes against Daesh strongholds in Deir Ezzor, SANA News Agency reported on Wednesday.
The strikes targeted gatherings of Daesh terrorists in Hweijet Sakr area near the eastern neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor city, killing a number of them and destroying their rocket launchers, local source said.
Daesh terrorists shelled Al Jorah neighborhood, causing damage, but no casualties were reported, the source added.
In a related context, a military source said that Syrian army aircraft destroyed a number of Daesh vehicles and hotbeds in villages in Homs countryside.
