Syrian Army units downed on Wednesday 14 planes of armed groups in Rif Daraa, according to the Syrian News Agency SANA.
The groups had attempted to carry out reconnaissance and target a number of military positions, SANA reported.
A military source said that army units advanced further in Aleppo’s western countryside by regaining control over al-Hikma School to the west of 1070 apartments residential project - which is located to the west of the military academies.
The source said that the operations resulted in inflicting losses in personnel and equipment of the armed grups, most of whom were from Jabhat al-Nusra, and that army units and supporting forces are continuing to advance in the direction of al-Rashideen 4 district, killing and injuring dozens of them.
In Quneitra province, the army aided by popular defense groups thwarted an attempt by armed groups to attack a number of military posts to the east of Hadar town in the northern countryside of Quneitra province.
Another army unit targeted armed organizations’ gatherings and their supply routes in Qabaa al- Hamriyeh, al-Nakkar al-Gharbi, Jebbata al-Khashab, Hersh Tranjeh, Dar Saeed, and Badriyeh in the countryside of the province, killing a number of their members and destroying their vehicles.
