The Syrian army has reached an agreement that allows the militants in Ain Al Fijah to leave the town, Ali Mohamed Youssef, local reconciliation coordinator in Wadi Bardi, Damascus countryside, said Saturday.
The deal allows the militants to leave Ain Al Fijah town into Deir Muqaran village, local media outlets reported.
Intensive talks were held outside Wadi Bardi involving delegations from the Syrian Armed Forces, residents, and opposition representatives, that resulted in clinching the deal.
Ain Al Fijah is a strategic town, near Damascus. It has a water spring that provides the Syrian capital with much of its water needs.
