The Syrian air force destroyed on Wednesday positions, vehicles and supply routes of Daesh terrorist group in the cities of Tadmur (Palmyra) and al-Qaryatain on the road linking Palmyra with al-Sukhneh in the eastern countryside of Homs province, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.
Earlier, a Syrian military source was quoted by SANA as saying that army units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, established full control over al-Hayyal Mountain which overlooks Palmyra (Tadmur) city from the southwestern side after eliminating a large number of Daesh terrorists.
