Syria rejects to allow any humanitarian aid, especially provided by the Turkish regime, to enter Aleppo without coordination with the Syrian government and the United Nations, a source at the Syrian Foreign and Expatriates Ministry stated on Tuesday.
“Commenting on the Turkish regime’s statements highlighting its intention to send materials disguised as humanitarian aid to Aleppo city, the Syrian Arab Republic announces its rejection to allow such materials to enter no matter who provides them, including the Turkish regime in particular, without coordination with the Syrian government and the UN,” the source was quoted by the Syrian news agency (SANA) as saying.
The source noted that any military operation carried out by the Turkish air force over the Syrian territory under the pretext of fighting the ISIS terrorists without coordination with the Syrian government and the Russian Operations Command constitutes a flagrant aggression on Syria and a breach of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The sources stressed that Syria will confront any such attack and respond to it with all suitable means within the framework of defending its national sovereignty, according to the news agency.
“Since the very beginning of the crisis in Syria, Turkey has always provided support to the armed terrorist organizations and supplied them with money, arms, not to mention harboring terrorists, assisting them and bringing mercenaries from all over the world to murder the Syrian people and destroy their country,” the source said.
The source concluded that Turkey has no right to claim keenness on the Syrian people or combating terrorism, especially in Aleppo, because it provided unlimited support for terrorism which caused vast destruction in the city.
