The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said Sunday the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) made a fresh progress in Daesh stronghold of Raqqa.
Twenty five militants of Daesh were killed in continuous clashes with SDF in the northwestern countryside of al-Tabaqa, SOHR said.
SDF became closer to the Euphrates Dam, it added.
The Syrian Democratic Forces are a multi-ethnic and multi-religious alliance of Kurdish, Arab, Assyrian, and other militias that was founded in October 2015 to restore Raqqa from Daesh control.
