A fire broke out on Friday in a tent housing Syrian refugees in Turkish southern province of Hatay, killing one Syrian child, local newspaper Today's Zaman reported. The fire broke out in Yayladagi town of Hatay and firefighters were immediately dispatched to the area to extinguish the blaze. A 5-year-old Syrian child, who was affected by smoke inhalation was taken to Yayladagi Health Center where he subsequently died despite medical efforts. An investigation into the fire has been launched. Another two Syrian children had died in fire in the same area in July.
