The evacuation of the first batch of injured civilians from the eastern districts of Aleppo has been delayed by the Syrian government troops and their allied militiamen in the city.
Sky News Arabia quoted local sources as saying Wednesday that the evacuation of nearly 150 injured civilians was postponed in the wake of news on the disapproval of the Iranian-backed militias in Aleppo on the Turkish-mediated ceasefire agreement allowing civilians and moderate rebels to flee the eastern part of Aleppo.
On Tuesday, an agreement was reached to evacuate civilians and opposition fighters from the besieged eastern districts of Aleppo city.
Under the terms of the deal, a ceasefire went into effect at 6 p.m. local time
