Eight civilians were killed in an air raid carried out by the US-led international coalition fighter jets over Deir ez-Zor province on Monday.
The raid targeted a house grouping evacuees from Aleppo, leaving eight members of the same family dead.
A number of civilians were also wounded in the air strike.
Meanwhile, Apache planes of the international coalition airdropped troops in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor close to Daesh weapons store and a military supply point, Sky news reported.
Following the landing operation which took 20 minutes, Daesh reportedly deployed reinforcements to the fields of Quinco, Jafra and Tenk, and erected flying checkpoints in the city of Mayadeen, Shuayatat, Bu Kamal and its surroundings.
Deir ez-Zor is an oil-rich province which borders Iraq. Half of the city is under Daesh control while the other part is held by Syrian government forces.
The province has been the focus of U.S.-led Coalition airstrikes.
