Twelve people were killed and 40 others wounded in two terrorist blasts in eastern Homs on Thursday, the Syrian news agency reported.
Terrorists blew up a booby-trapped car and a motorcycle at Mukharram al Fawqani area in the eastern part of the city, Homs Governor Talal al Barazi said.
Heavy damage was inflicted on nearby houses and shops, he added.
Death toll is likely to increase given serious injuries among the wounded, he added.
Daesh militant group had claimed responsibility for similar attacks in Homs province in recent months that killed scores of people.
