For the first time in the Arab world, Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe's new album MJK has been promoted by international music-sharing service iTunes on a global scale. An advertising team has been dedicated to market the album using different social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. iTunes usually markets Arabic music albums six months after their release. But Haifa’s latest album MJK, which is the Arabic abbreviation for Miss Universe, has already reached number 36 in the charts. Haifa follows the footsteps of the world's stars that have used social networking to reach fans all over the world.
