The US-led alliance carried out air raids Saturday against sites of Daesh terrorist group and killed 15 terrorists in west of Iraq's Mosul.
The air raids targeted Daesh militants who intended to launch an attack on the Kurdish peshmerga forces in western Iraq's Mosul, Kurdish sources sad.
The US-led alliance started bombing Daesh targets in Syria last September as part of a strategy aimed at rolling back the group’s territorial gains in Syria and Iraq.
Clashes between Iraqi forces and the militant group have also been ongoing since June 2014 when the armed group seized Mosul and other territories in Iraq.
