Eleven Iraqi people were killed while 40 others were injured during acts of violence in Iraq, said security sources Friday.
A source said that a suicide attack occurred at a town in Salahuddin governorate, leading to the death of six policemen and the injury of three others. The source noted that that the police and ambulances rushed to the scene to secure the area and transfer the bodies of the deceased and injured to nearby hospitals.
Also an attack on a Shiite shrine in Baghdad led to the death of five people and the injury of 37 others, said another security source.
Meanwhile, the Islamic State in Iraq and Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the Shurjah market attack in Baghdad yesterday which caused the death of eight people and the injury of 47 others.
