Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said Tuesday that the US-led coalition carried out 25 sorties conducting 21 strikes on Mosul over past 24 hours, Sputnik news agency reported.
Coalition planes conduct strikes on Mosul daily, Konashenkov said in a statement.
"Russian and Syrian airforces have not been active in Aleppo for more than two weeks. At the same time, US' B-52N strategic strike aircrafts, as well as F/A-18 carrier bombers flying from the aircraft carrier Dwight D. Eisenhower, and Rafale-M, flying from France's Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier, conduct strikes on Mosul daily," the statement said.
"Over the last 24 hours alone, the [US-led] coalition has carried out 25 sorties, conducting 21 bombing strikes in the city and suburbs," Konashenkov said.
