Nine civilians were killed Sunday by a drone airstrike claimed by ISIS. The drone airstrike targeted the northern part of Mosul city, North Baghdad.
A security source said today that drone airstrike belonging to ISIS, carried the attack on three cities, North of Mosul. On another hand, the security forces arrested 35 of ISIS group and affiliated group, from the eastern side of Mosul city. They also found a hidden storehouse for weapons, explosives and bombs, eastern side of Mosul.
Correspondingly, the spokesman for operations Brigadier General Yahya Messenger confirmed continuing freeing the ISIS held cities in Anbar city, western Iraq. ISIS arrested 21 civilians, mostly women from Kirkuk city, north of Iraq. In the arrest of the 21 civilians, 17 women and children were among those arrested while they were attempting to escape from the western of Kirkuk to the Hamrin Mountains, however ISIS took them to an unknown destination after the arrest. On the same time, an airstrike killed two of ISIS groups in the west of Kirkuk city. A security source states that the Military intervention against ISIS targeted their mechanism in west Kirkuk, resulting in defeating the mechanism and killing two of ISIS. In contrast, an explosive bomb in south Iraq killed 6 people and wounded several others in east Iraq.
The Iraqi army destroyed four ISIS hidden spots, north east /Baqubah/ adding that the security forces seized 8 explosive bombs and destroyed them without any deaths. ISIS unexpectedly withdrew from a couple of cities in north Iraq, the security source said.
