Iraqi troops killed 22 elements of Daesh terrorist group in a military operation in Salahuddine governorate in northern Iraq.
In statements on Sunday, Head of the Iraqi Federal Police General Shaker Gawdat said the Iraqi troops killed 15 gunmen and destroyed a vehicle equipped with machine gun and mortar shells.
The Iraqi forces also killed seven terrorists, including a foreigner, and destroyed a tunnel in Makhoul Mountain in Salahuddine governorate.
Meanwhile, the Iraqi Seventh Battalion arrested Abu Zeyad Al Falouji, an emir of Daesh battalion in Abu Ghreib district in Western Baghdad.
The Ninawa Operations Command killed terrorist Bassem Sabawai, Daesh official in charge of rockets and missiles.
