Iraqi security forces, backed by Iraqi warplanes, have destroyed Daesh camp in Tharthar district of Al Anbar governorate, killing 75 militants and destroying a large number of booby-trapped cars, the Iraqi National Security Service (NSS) said on Thursday.
Acting upon intelligence information, the Iraqi forces attacked the camp, the NSS said in a statement.
Also, several Daesh leaders were killed over the past two days during the tight siege imposed by the Iraqi forces on southern Fallujah city, an official source with Baghdad Operations Command said.
The military operation in Fallujah city has resulted in killing scores of Daesh fighters and destroying 16 booby-trapped and 4by4 vehicles in addition to a truck laden with weapons and military equipment, he added.
Iraqi forces have recently managed to liberate Al Ramadi city after driving out Daesh militants who seized the city seven months ago.
