Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil Al-Araby called here on Sunday for forming a new Iraqi government as soon as possible in order to resolve the current crisis.
While receiving new Iraqi Ambassador in Cairo Diaa Al-Dabbas, Al-Araby said that the new Iraqi government could help the country regain its normal role on the Arab arena.
Al-Araby stressed the necessity of the Arab League's solidarity with Iraq to encounter terrorist organizations that threaten the security and stability of the state.
Following his meeting with Araby, Al-Dabbas told reporters that he had submitted his credentials to the chief of the Arab League as the Iraq's permanent representative at the league.
The new diplomat expressed his readiness to exert efforts to work with the Secretariat General of the Arab League to serve mutual Arab action.
