Iraqi joint forces liberated Ar-Rutba district in southwestern Anbar province from Daesh's control and raised the Iraqi flag in the area after a four-day security campaign.
In statements on Thursday, Spokesman of the Joint Operation Command General Yahya Al-Zubaidi said a number of Daesh militants were killed and equipment was destroyed during the operation.
Meanwhile, Iraqi forces destroyed an armored vehicle affiliated to the terrorist group east of Ramadi city of Anbar province.
The vehicle approached a military zone in Albu Bali district of Ramadi city when the forces targeted it with a Kornet missile in which all Daesh militants who were riding the vehicle were killed.
Also, Iraqi forces arrested a terrorist, Chechen nationality, in Jereche area in northern Ramadi city.
